Our Disciple Group
We started this disciple group in the summer of 2021, when these guys were just in 8th grade. Over the years we have watched them grow in their faith and become outstanding leaders. Meeting on Wednesday nights, we have had countless conversations about daily life, sports, and what it means to be a Christian.
We cannot wait to see what God has in store for this young group of guys. Eight of our young men and two leaders will be going to Honduras this summer. We know that our time with them in Honduras will be very impactful both to those in Honduras and to our group.
Our Purpose for the Trip to Honduras
We want to provide our discipleship group with a global mission experience, so they can see what God is doing in Honduras first hand. We want to continue the example of the disciple led trip to Kenya last year and encourage others to go, share the gospel, and see what God is already doing around the world. We hope this trip will inspire and encourage others to do the same. In this we hope to develop our relationships as a group and with our heavenly Father.
We understand that one week in Honduras will not change the world or solve many big problems. Our hope is that it follows the framework in which Jesus lived and is something that our disciple group can build upon.
